Developed with a highly technical design, the Kaimana delivers supreme comfort, less drag, and unmatched strength - all within an extremely lightweight package. The Kaimana provides a leash-less feel, so whether you’re a world tour champ or you’re paddling out for the first time, you can focus on the ocean and leave everything else behind.

Innovating on an industry legacy.

Dakine was founded on designing a better surf leash. The Kaimana surf leash builds on this legacy with increased durability, comfort and performance. Borrowing from the physics world, we implemented a unique dimple pattern (similar to a golf ball) on the cord that helps reduce drag without compromising strength. Other key improvements are the lower profile, pre-curved ankle cuff and a narrower rail saver feature. They may seem like small details, but they all add up to make one of the most effective and comfortable leashes with less drag and a zero-distraction fit.
