Click Medical has created a new paradigm in prosthetics comfort. Their system-based approach to adjustability provides greater flexibility allowing amputees to walk through their day with more confidence and ease. Our team has supported a wide variety of projects with Click, helping unearth new opportunities in prosthetic component solutions. This has culminated in years of work together as we advance the capabilities of how a socket can provide more comfort and ease in daily life.

Micro and macro adjustments made easy.

Our partnership’s most complex project has been the multi-year design and development of the Shift Technology reel. This device can quickly wind up slack lace in a 1:1 take up ratio. When the reel senses tension it will automatically “shift” into a high power mode providing a fine-tuned fit. This shift technology empowers patients to easily make micro and macro adjustments. Another advancement is the reel’s clutch. This feature allows for an optimal and personalized fit based on each user’s needs. We are proud to say this is the most durable and strongest reel in its class, boasting a 33% lower profile while leveraging a smart combination of metal and plastic parts.

"Adjustable prosthetic and orthotic devices increase patient satisfaction and their lives in general by empowering them to provide daily self-care."

Jimmy Capra - Co-founder and CEO of Click Medical

"I love being able to adjust my socket in both directions. It’s simple, but it’s life changing."

Dave Gardner - Patient and retired Army Staff Sergeant

Reel results that bring real world impact.

Kim Acheson’s story starts back in 2018 when he had his first amputation below the knee. A year later, he underwent his second below knee amputation. Such a devastating change might lead to depression for some, but a spark of inspiration went off in Kim. This would not be the end for him. After rehab and learning to walk again, he started training for a 5k race. Soon he was walking 20 miles a day and he had lost over 100 pounds. Wanting an even grander goal, Kim decided he would hike from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail, 2,650 miles of rugged trail with some of the most amazing scenery in the US.
